Think Like A Billionaire Einstein
By: AJ Dowell
The first rule of a billionaire mentality is to learn that work is work, it doesn't matter what kind it is. If the job needs done, do it. If it's cleaning a toilet, shoveling snow, or writing an article or book, it doesn't matter what it is. It amazes me how many people complain and don't want to do a certain task. Some people are willing to take out the trash, but unwilling to clean the bathroom. I found that to be the case when I was in the restaurant business, and then again in the office equipment business. It's just a task. Work is work. Millionaires think differently. To them, work is work, and it's all a small part of the big picture.
Effort without results is worthless, like taking a dump and then stepping in it. You can spin your wheels burning up tires like Bubba in his hotrod, and not go anywhere. Finances are the same way. Are you much better off now than you were five years ago? If you continue on the same exact path you're on, will you be where you need to be financially? Track your progress. When we were in school, the teachers handed out grade cards to check our performance.
Keep things in perspective. God's timing is not the same as our timing. We can't use time against us. It takes a lot of time and effort to build anything worthwhile.
Billionaires think at a level beyond the redneck Bubba's. They hang around smart and influential people. Your income will be close to the average of your five closest friends that you hang around the most. Billionaires don't let these types of barriers get in the way. What barriers can you eliminate?
"Think and Grow Rich" by Napoleon Hill, is one of my favorite books. Readers are leaders. I have millionaire friends that always have a couple books in their vehicles. I'm the same way. If you don't make the time to read, you'll probably never get where you want to be financially. I found reading great books is a common denominator in every wealthy person I know. If you're reading this, you're a step in the right direction. The best business book to learn from is the Holy Bible. It may keep you out of the fire one day. Some recommended material is the Holy Bible, The 7 Habits Of Highly Effective People, How To Win Friends and Influence People, and anything written by John Mason or Wes Beavis.
Find out what wealthy people are doing and do the things they do. Remember, however that imitation is limitation and that your own personality and genius should surface. Go beyond the limits of what other people believe.
Zig Ziglar- You can have anything in life you want if you help enough other people get what they want.
Have good ethics and don't be greedy. Remember GREED is one of the seven deadly sins. If you can figure out a way to help others and profit at the same time, you've hit pay dirt.
Proverbs 29:18- Where there is no vision, the people perish
Have big dreams and see your vision in front of you. Set realistic goals to achieve your dreams and post pictures of those dreams in front of you where you're constantly reminded of what is to be.
Bob Seger- Tomorrow is the price for yesterday. A billion waves won't wash the truth away. Someday you'll be ordered to explain. No one gets to walk between the rain.(Excerpt from the song No More).
Bob Seger-Simplicity- Simplicity it works for me. It keeps me sharp and true. I focus on the basic stuff. And pretty soon I'm comin' up on you. So much clutter clouds our way. Fundamentals win the day.
Be focused. Most folks use a shotgun scatter approach instead of the rifle and scope method. Focus on the basics. Narrow down your target. It should be very distinctive and specific. Don't over complicate things. No Clutter Allowed is my motto. What's your motto?
